Wavelength describes the type of light, not a brightness setting. The mat combines visible red light at 660 nm with invisible near-infrared light at 850 nm.

Continuous mode delivers steady light. Pulse modes cycle the light at 10 or 40 times per second. Choose between the three modes using the controller.

Controlled studies have examined hair counts in hereditary pattern hair loss using scalp-specific red-light devices. Our hair research page explains the study, the equipment and the findings.

How do I use the integrated head hood? +

The integrated head hood complements the illuminated base and wraparound panels. Follow the supplied manual for head or scalp positioning and the eye protection required for this model. Keep the controller within reach and do not shine LEDs directly into your eyes.

Does every LED look illuminated? +

The 660 nm red light is visible. The 850 nm near-infrared light is invisible to the human eye, so appearance alone does not indicate whether that wavelength is operating.

What does 3-in-1 mean? +

The supplier specifies 3,020 LED beads, with three LED chips in each bead. Beads and individual chips are different counts.

Which modes can I choose? +

The controller offers continuous light, a 10 Hz pulse mode and a 40 Hz pulse mode. These describe steady light or light pulsing at 10 or 40 cycles per second.

Can I adjust brightness and time? +

Yes. There are five brightness levels and a timer adjustable from 10 to 90 minutes, with automatic shut-off. Choose settings according to the supplied instructions and your comfort.

How does the wrap close? +

Adjustable side straps and quick-release buckles secure the wraparound format. Release the buckles to open the mat and adjust the straps without overtightening.
